Sometimes, it’s easy to be frustrated with our kids.   Sometimes, we wring our hands and cry out to God wondering how in the WORLD we’re ever going to reach this child!

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. ~ Proverbs 17:17

Sometimes, our personalities clash.  Sometimes, their personalities clash.  Sometimes, it is hard being one of the older kids and constantly having little ones getting into your things.  Sometimes, it’s hard being one of the little kids and wondering where you fit into the mix called a family.

Sometimes, they surprise us.

Sometimes, your little sister loses her bear.  Sometimes,  you want to comfort her.  Sometimes, being a friend and giving hugs and assurances that the bear will turn up are not enough.  Sometimes, being the big brother — “born for adversity” — kicks in and you find the perfect solution.

Sometimes, it’s hard to find joy and contentment in our families.  Sometimes, it SO easy.

Sometimes, we get a glimpse of the fruit and see that it is working…even on a TINY scale…and it is worth it.
