Summer break

August 10, 2010

As year round homeschoolers, we take breaks all year round.  This past year we got a late start to our year, thanks to the wonderful new addition of Michaela.  So, we ended our year a little later than I had hoped.  That’s okay though, we’ve still got some summer left and are hoping to have a little extra fun in the next few week (after the public school kids are back in class – and lines are shorter) before we start-up again.

So, my question for the blog hop this week is:

What kind of activities do you like to do with your kids when you’re taking a break or are in some down time?

We like to take a few extra trips to the park, try to fit in a few picnics with daddy during his lunch (we haven’t done any of those this year…*makes note to have some picnics*) and just in general, relax and have fun.

We school year round, also. Must easier than having to follow such a rigid schedule like the public-school year.
My daughter is able to take her time on things that are more challenging, and able to advance quicker thru things that click easier.
She is her individual self and can learn at her individual pace.
    I Love Homeschool!!!
