Sunday Sweets – July 4th edition

July 5, 2010

Not a lot of fun pictures this week.  Like yesterday’s post indicated, we were busy running like crazy people all weekend.  I did manage to get one really good one during prep though that shows why my hands weren’t on the camera.

Every year, I set out to use one of my mother-in-law’s cake pans for July 4th.  She had the original “Old Glory” pan from Wilton and their star pan.  I love how the Old Glory pan is shaped to be a waving flag…and since the kids were very into flags this year, that was the one I decided to use.

Our Sunday Sweet was just a basic yellow cake mix, cream cheese frosting, and then blueberries, strawberries and a few marshmallows thrown in for the stars.  Erin isn’t much of a berry lover, but she enjoyed the cake and shared the berries with her dad.
