First day of school

Monday was our first day of school!  The kids were super excited, and I have to admit…so was I!  We are doing Sonlight’s Core "Introduction to World History" this year as our core. 

Individually, Erin is in Kindergarten using:

• Horizons Math K
• Language Arts 1: Beginning to Read (Sonlight)

Christopher is in second grade, using:

• Horizons Math 2
• Language Arts 2: Reading with Easy Readers (Sonlight)

Sean will start in a couple of weeks with Letter of the Week.  We’ll also be adding in the Bastian piano primer series soon too.

Kelsie even got a back to school bag with a new stuffie (and a new toothbrush!)

I do up a worksheet for the kids with general "about me" info on it and on the back they draw a self portrait.  Sean had a lot of help from me this year, but he told me what to draw…

Christopher is very intent on drawing his picture.

Erin’s self portrait was TINY.  (She’s made up for it by drawing a lot of really BIG pictures of her since.) {giggle}  Isn’t Kelsie just so sweet in the background??

The kids wanted me to post this picture of "Mommy’s book."
