Life interrupted

June 4, 2007

I can’t believe how busy life gets when the weather gets warm.  All of sudden there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day.  It’s not like I have that much more to do really.  It just seems that the days are cut in half and there are so many interruptions.

Of course, some interruptions count as school, so that’s always a good thing!  This morning we watched a snake in the yard for almost a half hour.  I was nervous to let the kids watch since the prey was "little bunny foo foo," but I decided it might be neat for the kids to watch.  We were overjoyed when "foo foo" took off and the snake did NOT catch him.  WOO HOO!  Small victory for bunnies every where.  Of course, that cut a half hour out of the day and threw everything out of whack after that.  sigh…

The pregnancy is going well as far as we can tell.  I had an ultrasound last week and everything looks perfect.  It’s still too early to tell the gender and it looks like they might change my due date from December 1st to Dec 9th or 10th.  Either way, unless he/she comes early it looks like another December baby.  How fun!  The only thing that makes me nervous at this point is making sure there is someone to watch the kids when it comes time to deliver.  Of course, being pregnant ads to that interruption thing too.  I’m constantly running to the bathroom.  Fortunately though the morning sickness isn’t the main reason any more.  It is still lingering though.  With any luck in a few more weeks that part of the process will be over.

The kids are doing great in school.  Their attitudes have been sort of funny to watch develop though.  Now that Erin is doing her work at the same time Christopher is, he’s not too wild about how ‘easy’ her math is compared to his.    No matter how many times we explain that he did that stuff a long time ago, he doesn’t seem to care.  He wants to do the easy stuff!  HA!

Everything else is going pretty well around here.  Andrew’s got some ideas for the yard that he wants to work on and we’re going to recruit the kids to help in that.  They each have their own little gardners set now too.  It’ll be interesting seeing how the finished product turns out!

I hope everyone is doing well!  Take care and God Bless!
